‘light’ is a montage created from participants of the House of Light Moving Image Workshops for Circus Central’s House of Light event. Participants used smartphones to create self-portraits of artists and The Mining Institute

‘We are the Family La Bonche’ documents the heritage research project undertaken by the Five Rings Youth Circus as they explored their circus heritage in the North East of England

‘Five Ring Circus Troupe’  documents the journey of the Five Ring Youth Circus troupe year-long training programme as they work towards their final show

CIRCONNECTION

From 2012 to 2016 I have been involved in documenting two European Partnership Training programmes, Circonnection and ENCI. This involved developing the websites, writing blogs and taking & collating photos. Here is the written culmination of the two projects: 

ENCI

In 2013 I created our very own newspaper reporting on the research project with members of the Five Rings Youth Circus. The La Bonche followed the journey of these young people and their discoveries as they explored the circus heritage of the North East of England. The project also culminated in a show with young people, and the video I created (see above) that also documented the journey.
